Congrats to October’s Adult Education Student of the Month, Cosmetology student Dani Russell! Russell resides in New Philadelphia and is a New Phila graduate. She is a manager at McDonald’s and chose to enroll at BCC because she enjoys boosting other’s confidence. Russell’s instructor, Mrs. Julie Menefee nominated her for the award. “Dani is always on-time and is helpful. She is willing to learn and goes above and beyond.” Following graduation, Russell wants to work full-time in a salon and eventually own her own salon. She will be honored at this evening's board meeting!

Congrats to our second Student of the Month for October, senior Bryson Froman. Froman is a double lab participant, enrolled in HVAC-R and Masonry. He attends BCC from Strasburg, where he plays football and participates in track. Froman was nominated by his Masonry instructor, Mr. Ryan Irwin. “Bryson is a great worker and works well with his classmates at the Buckeye House project. His peers look up to him and he has taken on a leadership role in my program. He communicates directions to his classmates and follows directions well,” said Irwin. Following graduation, Froman plans to enter the workforce as a mason or HVAC technician. He is the son of LaVonne and Troy Froman. He will be honored at this evening's board meeting! #BuckeyeProud!

Congratulations to our first October Student of the Month, Adessa Shedrick! Shedrick, a Precision Machining senior, attends BCC from New Philadelphia High School, where she is a member of art club and Spanish club. Shedrick’s Precision Machining instructor, Mr. Bob Lafollette nominated her for the honor. “Adessa is an exceptional student that is the first to start working and the last to stop. She listens to instruction well and shows great work ethic,” said Lafollette. Following graduation, she hopes to live a stable and productive life while showing the world the goodness she possesses. Shedrick is the daughter of Andrea and Rodney Shedrick. She will be honored at this evening's board meeting! #BuckeyeProud!
