Career/Tech Club Affiliation

• Learn to safely operate hand, power, and air tools used in the construction industry

• Use woodworking skills to construct a home from the ground up that will be sold at public auction

• Read blueprints, frame floors, walls, and ceilings, and install drywall at the Buckeye House

Construction Technology students must be able to:

• Handle getting dirty and working in a dusty environment

• Comprehend and use measuring devices 

• Work in all types of weather

• Have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to use hand and power tools

• Be a team player - communicate well with customers, managers, and fellow workers

• Work with stains, paints/chemicals
