Congrats to our Adult Education Student of the Month for March, Brianna Warfield.! Warfield is enrolled in Cosmetology. Warfield graduated from Indian Valley and is employed at the UPS Store and Big Bend Golf Course. She enrolled in the program because she loves doing hair and nails. Following graduation in May, she plans to continue working and will take her state board exam to obtain her cosmetology license. She will be recognized at this evening's Board of Education meeting. Congrats! #BuckeyeProud!


Our second high school Student of the Month is Josiah Brant. Brant is a double-lab student, enrolled in HVAC-R and Landscaping. Brant attends BCC from Claymont and is employed at Pangrazio’s Pizza and Spaghetti. At BCC, Brant is a member of SkillsUSA and is the HVAC-R ambassador. He was nominated by his HVAC-R instructor, Mr. Todd Vandeborne. “Josiah is a hardworking individual who consistently pays attention to detail in all aspects of his work. His commitment to excellence is evident through his strong work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond expectations,” said Vandeborne. Following graduation, Brant plans to pursue a career in the HVAC-R field. Brant is the son of Matthew and Stacey Brant. He will be honored at this evening's Board of Education meeting. Congrats to our first Student of the Month for March, Savannah Jones! Jones is a senior in the Natural Resources lab. Jones attends BCC from Tuscarawas Central Catholic and is a member of the International Club at TCC and FFA at BCC. Jones’ Natural Resources instructor, Ms. Chelsie Kotlar nominated Jones for the honor. “Savannah has shown remarkable growth as a leader among peers. Savannah encourages others to share ideas and listens respectfully to different viewpoints,” commented Kotlar. Upon graduation, Jones will attend Hocking Technical College. Jones is the child of Sheila Tristano. Jones will be recognized at tonight's Board of Education meeting. Congrats! #BuckeyeProud!

The SkillsUSA State Championships started today in Columbus! Our teamworks group got an early start, while the rest of our competitors will arrive this afternoon and compete tomorrow! Good luck to all!

The second half of our advisory breakfast featured members meeting with our lab instructors to share insights into current industry trends, credential recommendations, and more! Thank you to all who attended!

This morning, we hosted nearly 200 of our advisory members for our annual spring breakfast. Attendees heard from Mr. Fockler about some of the things this year's students are achieving. He also gave a preview of next school year, including an explanation of our medical building addition and potential student numbers. Mr. Polen also spoke to attendees about funding, school-to-work opportunities, credentials, and more!
