It's auction day at the Tuscarawas County Fair, and we wish all sellers the best of luck!

Our marketing team and some of our administrators spent the morning at the fair, enjoying the educational breakfast sponsored by the Tuscarawas County Farm Bureau! The event featured tours of the barns, provided by three of our BCC students. Cole, Brady, and Emily did a great job showing us around and explaining the effort it takes to show at the fair! Many of our staff who attended have shown at the fair before, but it is always insightful to see how 4H, FFA, and the fair help shape our youth!

September’s Adult Education Student of the Month is Martin Marcoguiseppe II of the Law Enforcement Training Academy! Marcoguiseppe is a graduate of Washington High School and resides in Massillon. He holds an associate’s degree in computer network administration and security from Stark State College and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Akron. He is currently employed as the chief information officer at The Schroer Group. Marcoguiseppe has always been passionate about public service and wanted to take on a new personal challenge. “This program allows me to combine my leadership experience with a lifelong interest in law enforcement, and to grow as a person by stepping outside of my comfort zone,” said Marcoguiseppe. He was nominated by LETA Commander David Dobbins. “For a cadet in this day and age to have a full-time career and attend this academy, to obtain a commission as a deputy sheriff and not get compensated to do that job, speaks volumes to me,” said Dobbins. Following graduation, Marcoguiseppe plans to join a local law enforcement agency as a reserve or special officer/deputy, primarily contributing on weekends and evenings, leveraging his IT experience to support technology efforts within a department.
