Congratulations to Ivan Quiroz, Werley Perez Huinac, Grant Bowersock, Casen Mitchell, Michael Gardner, Grady Hanson, Jaden Simmons, Braxton Lynch, and Joshua Harvey. These students earned their OSHA 10-Hour Construction course certification!
Today, we say "see you later" to our Maintenance Supervisor, Mr. Dan Bailey! Today was his last official day in our building before entering retirement in the coming weeks! He has served BCC for six years and has been an integral part of our administrative team, overseeing our maintenance department and various building projects during his time. We wish him well!
In an effort to memorialize the late Shannon Wigfield, BCC is excited to announce a new project that is currently under construction on our campus!
Shannon's Reading Garden features a sitting area and book boxes for use by our students and staff, just outside of our cafeteria! Shannon loved to read and this feature is just one way that her spirit will live on through past, present, and future BCC students and employees. The project is being funded by a personal donation from Governor Mike DeWine and his wife Fran. Our students are completing the work. The design was created by our CAD lab. Mrs. Wigfield was a valued Language Arts instructor who died tragically last fall in the bus crash involving the Tusky Valley band.

Our Floral Design students enjoyed yesterday's mild weather and took a hike to find pinecones for an upcoming project!

Our friends from the Ohio State Highway Patrol spent the morning with us greeting students and checking for seatbelt usage. Sgt. Armstrong and Trooper Adkins presented drivers wearing seatbelts with a restaurant coupon! Anyone not wearing a seatbelt received a flyer explaining the importance of seatbelts! #BuckeyeProud!
