Students participated in "salvage" training, learning essential techniques to minimize property damage during emergency responses. Ryan Rothel, project manager in the advanced testing division at Hilscher-Clarke came in to visit our Electrical Systems Technology students. He talked about OSHA and NFPA 70E safety requirements as well as giving students an abbreviated look at Arc Flash training. The training included defining an Arc Flash, calculating fault current and selecting appropriate PPE.
