Earlier this week, the Fire/EMS lab had visitors from the New Philadelphia Fire Department! Students participated in "salvage" training, learning essential techniques to minimize property damage during emergency responses. This hands-on experience helps prepare them to protect both lives and property in real-world situations.

Our level one Landscaping students are sketching upside down to help enhance the perception of shapes and proportions, reduce mental bias, improve line/detail recognition, strengthen abstract thinking, and build spatial awareness!

As part of our CTE Month® celebrations, today, we highlight one of our business partners! R & J Cylinder and Machine is a long-standing BCC supporter, intending to provide career opportunities for students! #BuckeyeProud!

Ryan Rothel, project manager in the advanced testing division at Hilscher-Clarke came in to visit our Electrical Systems Technology students. He talked about OSHA and NFPA 70E safety requirements as well as giving students an abbreviated look at Arc Flash training. The training included defining an Arc Flash, calculating fault current and selecting appropriate PPE.




Congrats to Outdoor Power students Khalen Green and Jace Eckinger for placing at the SkillsUSA Power Equipment Technologies State Championships in Medina today! Their rankings will be announced at the SkillsUSA State Championships on March 19th! They are pictured with their instructor, Mr. Tom Wiseman. #BuckeyeProud!




Our Utility Lineworker students took a short walk today to see the new utility poles being placed in front of the school. They are getting an up-close look at the work they may be doing in their future careers!

Midvale 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders had a blast during a special visit from our Career Connector, Mrs. Beaber! With the help of our amazing students, we hosted an exciting Career Carnival, where they explored multiple stations, discovered potential career paths, and learned about the many opportunities available at Buckeye Career Center.
