Our students are involved in all kinds of activities, including dance! These photos feature Graphic Arts senior Lydia Warfield, who danced in the performance of the Nutcracker at the Performing Arts Center. Her instructor, Mr. Fierbaugh even caught the show!

Kevin Johns, from Material Handling, Specialist, came in this morning to speak with our Agriculture & Diesel Technology, Commercial Truck, and Outdoor Power students. He discussed what MHS had to offer and careers after graduation.
Our Culinary Arts lab will host its annual Holiday Buffet on December 19th! The cost is $10 plus tax for adults and $6 plus tax for children under 12. No reservations will be accepted. Please plan to park in the Joe Carlisle Café parking lot. The meal will be served from 10:30am-12:30pm.
Today, our Level One Electrical Systems Technology students are showcasing their skills for the local Electrical Construction Wiring competition. This event will determine the top three students who will advance to the regional competition in January. Good luck to all our participants!

Our Teaching Profession students gave their typical Friday teaching days a holiday spin last week! They helped our Hospitality students make gingerbread houses and planned holiday games. The two labs work together every Friday.

We celebrated our Board of Education and partner school administrators with our annual Board Christmas Dinner! Our Culinary Arts students prepared and served a fabulous meal for our guests. Thank you to all who attended!
It's a beautiful morning to pour concrete for our new burn building! The facility will benefit our high school and adult Fire and EMS programs by providing live fire experiences for our students. It will be located just behind our back student parking lot and is expected to be finished this spring!
Congrats to our December Student of the Month, Layla Troyer!
Troyer double labs in the Cosmetology and Business & Marketing programs at BCC. She attends BCC from Hiland. Troyer serves as the SkillsUSA vice president, interns at Hush Hair in Berlin, works at Honey and Fig Café, and is a banquet server at Der Dutchman. She is also a four-year member of the youth group at her church. Her Cosmetology instructors, Mrs. Morgan Roden and Mrs. Dina Zimmerman nominated Troyer for the honor. “Layla consistently demonstrates exceptional creativity and innovation in the Cosmetology program. Her ability to conceptualize and execute nearly any haircut, style, or business design sets her apart.” Following graduation, Troyer plans to work at a salon. Troyer is the daughter of Joe and Cheryl Troyer. She will be honored at this evening's Board of Education meeting
