New Philadelphia, OH (August 3, 2026) – Prospective students still have time to enroll in Buckeye Career Center Adult Education's full-time, part-time, and career enhancement programs this fall. Full-time adult education programs begin August 19, 2026, with short-term courses offered throughout the fall, including CDL training, Adult Diploma Program (ADP) offerings, Aspire/GED® classes, and customized training for business and industry. 

Full-time programs include Cosmetology, Dental Assisting, Esthetics, Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R), Heavy Equipment/CDL A Operator, Law Enforcement Training Academy, Medical Assisting, Medical Office Support, Utility Lineworker, and Welding Technology.

 Most full-time programs are completed in nine months and meet during the school year from August through May in either daytime or evening hours, depending on the program. Cosmetology is a two-year program. Many programs include an externship during the spring, providing students with valuable hands-on experience in a professional work environment before completing their training. Students also have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized credentials and certifications. Applicants for full-time programs must possess a high school diploma or GED®. Some programs have additional admission requirements. Eligible students may qualify for federal financial aid or veterans' education benefits. 

Adult Diploma Program (ADP) options include Certified Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy, Drone Operator for Safety Services, Public Safety Communicator, Level I Firefighter, Level II Firefighter, and Welding – Short Course. Eligible students can earn an Ohio-issued high school diploma while completing career-specific technical training and earning industry credentials at no cost. Adults age 18 or older who do not have a high school diploma or GED® may qualify to participate in the Adult Diploma Program.
