Today, our Fire/EMS and Law Enforcement students and their instructors—alongside Assistant Principal Mr. Furner, Safety & Security Director Mr. Roach, and officers from the Dover and New Philadelphia Police Departments—climbed in honor of those who climbed before them.

They completed the equivalent of 110 stories by climbing the three flights of stairs in our burn building again and again to honor the first responders who rushed into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. On that day, thousands of first responders ran toward danger to help others, and 343 FDNY firefighters, 23 NYPD officers, and 37 Port Authority Police officers lost their lives.

With every trip up those stairs, our students remembered the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of those who answered the call that day.

Today, we climb in their honor. We will never forget.

More photos will be added to an album on Facebook. #BuckeyeProud!

As we progress throughout the school year, you will notice some of our photos, videos, and posts are created by our Business & Marketing students. They are learning about photography and social media as part of their lab. Each post will be accredited to the students who submitted the content. That content is then reviewed by our marketing team prior to posting. Great job to TC Cannon and Tyler Stephen on this post!
