New Philadelphia, OH (May 15, 2026) – Supporters of Buckeye Career Center senior students gathered Wednesday, May 13, 2026, to honor those who are getting a jumpstart on their careers. BCC hosted a Career-Technical Education and Military Signing Day to honor students who are already working full-time or will accept a full-time position following graduation.
The event, which is similar to athletic and academic signings, honored the students, their employers, and featured photo areas to capture pictures of each student signing his/her letter of intent while surrounded by company officials and family members. The program was emceed by BCC Marketing Coordinator Shyanne Carroll and BCC’s Director of Curriculum, Instruction, & Adult Education, Mr. Frank Polen, addressed the crowd and gave words of encouragement to the students in attendance.
“As Buckeye students, you made the first initial investment in yourself by deciding to come to Buckeye. You had dreams and goals, but now, others are investing in you,” he told the students.
A total of 62 students and 37 area companies/military branches participated in the annual event. Photos of the event were taken by Solid Rock and the BCC Marketing department and are available for viewing on the BCC Facebook page. Signing Day is an annual event at Buckeye Career Center that began in 2018.
