New Philadelphia, OH (February 25, 2026) – Several members of the Buckeye Career Center Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter have qualified for the National BPA Leadership Conference. The state competition was held in Columbus, February 23-24, 2026.
The following BCC Business & Marketing students earned a bid to nationals: Logan McPeek (Indian Valley) earned first place in Intermediate Word Processing, Madison Harmon (Claymont) earned second place in Intermediate Word Processing, and Jaxon Jones (Garaway) earned eighth place in Personal Finance Management.
Computer Technology/Network Systems students who earned bids to nationals include Kaiden Pack (Strasburg), who earned second place, in Computer Network Technology, Evan Russell (New Phila) in Computer Network Technology, Jackson Rice (BCC) in Device Hardware and Troubleshooting, Bobbie Brown (New Phila) and Isadore Hanlin (Malvern) in Server Administration with Microsoft, and Jaylyn Young (Indian Valley) in Computer Security.
Buckeye Business Academy at East Holmes students also qualified for nationals. Jenna Troyer placed fourth in Basic Office Systems & Procedures, and Mosheh Crossan placed seventh in Advanced Accounting.
Other students who placed within the top 10 at state include Crossan in Parliamentary Procedure Concepts, Ryan Woytko (New Phila) in Device Configuration and Troubleshooting, Caleb Shanklin (Strasburg) in Systems Administration with Cisco, Edgar Allison (Carrollton) and Makhi Vega (Claymont) in Video Production Team, Madeline Ward (Strasburg) and Danica Martin (Carrollton) in Visual Design Team, and Scenic Whiddon (Dover) in Fundamental Word Processing.
The qualifying students will travel to Nashville, Tennessee, for the BPA National Leadership Conference, May 6-10, 2026.
The students are instructed by Heather Irwin (Business & Marketing), Amy Stauffer-McNutt (Buckeye Business Academy at East Holmes), and Bill Alexander (Computer Technology/Network Systems).
