BPA

New Philadelphia, OH (January 28, 2026) – Several members of the Buckeye Career Center Business Professionals of America (BPA) chapter have qualified for the Ohio BPA Leadership Conference. The region eight competition was held at Kent State Tuscarawas on January 9, 2026. The state competition is February 23-24, 2026, in Columbus.

The following BCC Business & Marketing students earned a bid to state: Edgar Allison (Carrollton), Makhi Vega (Claymont), Eli Watson (Quaker Digital Academy), and Carson Miller (Carrollton) in Video Production Team; Madeline Ward (Strasburg) and Danica Martin (Carrollton) in Visual Design Team; Adriana Rorrer (Tusky Valley) and Jaxon Jones (Garaway) in Personal Finance Management; Scenic Whiddon (Dover) in Fundamental Word Processing; and Logan McPeek (Indian Valley) and Madison Harmon (Claymont) in Intermediate Word Processing.

The following Computer Technology/Network Systems students will compete at state: Jackson Rice (BCC) and Ryan Woytko (New Phila) in Device Configuration and Troubleshooting; Kaiden Pack (Strasburg) and Evan Russell (New Phila) in Computer Network Technology; Bobbie Brown (New Phila) and Isadore Hanlin (Malvern) in Server Administration with Microsoft; Caleb Shanklin (Strasburg) and Hannah Henry (Strasburg) in Network Administration using Cisco; Jaylyn Young (Indian Valley) and Carter Fronsman (Newcomerstown) in Computer Security; Jaxson Eberhardt (Conotton Valley) in Linux Operating Systems Fundamentals; and Kyzer Maynard (Conotton Valley) in Python Programming.

The following Buckeye Business Academy at East Holmes campus students earned top spots to qualify for the state in their respective competitions: Jenna Troyer in Basic Office Systems and Procedures and Mosheh Crossan in Advanced Accounting.

The students are instructed by Heather Irwin (Business & Marketing), Amy Stauffer-McNutt (Buckeye Business Academy at East Holmes), and Bill Alexander (Computer Technology/Network Systems).
