New Philadelphia, OH (May 29, 2025) – Several Buckeye Career Center employees are being recognized for their service achievements. The awards include perfect attendance, first-year survival, years of service, and retirement during the 2024-2025 school year.
Perfect attendance winners include Josh Jump (Utility Lineworker instructor), Joe Kuhn (maintenance), Jason Leggett (social studies instructor), Michelle Lobil (Pharmacy Technician instructor), Jeff Meyers (Construction satellite instructor), Jeff Newsome (Auto Collision instructor), Linda Northrop (cafeteria), Mike Recktenwalt (CBI satellite instructor), Scot Rutledge (Ag. & Diesel instructor), Tim Sheehy (CAD instructor), Dan Stotzer (social studies instructor), and Bobi Thompson (in-school detention instructor).

Jay Fisher (Adult EMS coordinator) was honored for 20 years of service while Bucky Myers (Law Enforcement instructor), Gale Stull (account clerk), Tim Septer (Electrical Systems Technology instructor), Terry Thompson (Construction instructor), Kendra Yoder (math instructor), and Jennifer Spies (Adult secretary) were honored for 25 years of service.
2024-25 retirees include maintenance supervisor Dan Bailey (6 years), assistant principal Julie Brinkman (23 years), Floral Design instructor Sharon Burdette (34 years), maintenance worker Shawn Dudziak (6 years), Law Enforcement instructor Bucky Myers (25 years), Medical Assisting instructor Gail Sleighter (22 years), Adult Education secretary Jennifer Spies (25 years), maintenance worker Carrie Rooks (28 years), and Adult Heavy Equipment instructor Don Young (10 years).
The honorees were celebrated on May 29, 2025, the final working day for teaching staff members for the 2024-2025 school year.
