Buckeye House

New Philadelphia, OH (May 14, 2025) - The most recent Buckeye Career Center student-built “Buckeye House” sold to new owners on May 13, 2025. The single-family home, located at 560 Corral Drive, NE, New Philadelphia, sold for $390,000 to Chuck Williams and Jody Jeffers, of New Philadelphia. The BCC Board of Education accepted their offer at the board’s May Board of Education meeting. Closing on the home is expected in June.

The couple chose to purchase the home for two specific reasons, according to Jeffers. “The location is perfect for us with friends and family nearby. It makes me very happy,” she said. “Plus, two of my three children attended Buckeye,” said Jeffers.

Construction of this Buckeye House began in August of 2023 and concluded at the beginning of May 2025. The custom-built brick ranch home features three bedrooms, two bathrooms, custom-built cabinets, and LVT wood flooring. The bedrooms include walk-in closets, and the master bath features a tiled walk-in shower. Covered front and back porches complete the modern, open-concept home. Buckeye students in Construction Technology, Energy Operations, Masonry, Landscaping, HVAC-R, and Electrical Systems Technology had a role in building the house.

Steve Cronebaugh of Cronebaugh Auctions conducted the auction portion, while realtor Kathy Pietro of Barnett Realtors assisted with the sale. The home was staged for viewing by Andreas Furniture, and appliances were supplied by Weaver Appliance.
