Program Quick Facts

Early Childhood Education students must be able to:

  • Physically lift a child, walk ½ mile maintaining the pace of a 3-5 year old child, and see, hear, and respond to children
  • Follow a 3-step direction
  • Work cooperatively with peers and engage in positive interactions with others
  • Express ideas clearly when speaking so that children can understand
  • React and respond to children and situations in a safe and reasonable time frame
  • Recognize problems or potential problems and formulate solutions to problems
  • Read and understand materials and texts used in class

Under Ohio's statewide credit transfer system up to 11 semester hours of credit will be given to the graduates of this program at various colleges listed below:
