Chemistry

This class serves as an introduction to chemistry. This class is designed to introduce chemical principles and develop critical thinking skills. During this class we will cover the following topics: what matter is and how it changes, atomic structure including arrangement of electrons, the Periodic Law and the periodic table, chemical bonds, understanding chemical formulas and chemical compounds, chemical equations and types of reactions, stoichiometry, and acids and bases.

Prerequisite: Algebra I and Biology
