Applied Trigonometry

This course is for students who have taken Algebra II or is a senior in Precision Machining or CAD at Buckeye Career Center. The course focuses on math concepts as they pertain to realistic industry related problems and actual industrial applications and their relationship to geometry and trigonometry. Topics also cover are the unit circle and the six trigonometry functions being sine cosine, tangent, secant, cosecant, and cotangent, graphing the six trigonometric functions and their inverses, verifying trigonometric identities by using the sum, difference, double angle, and half-angle formulas, solving trigonometric equations, solving real world problems using laws of sines and cosines, and using properties of addition and multiplication to calculate the trigonometric form of complex numbers.
Prerequisites: Algebra 1, Geometry, & Algebra II
