To assist all production departments, but primarily the Extrusion department, to repair and maintain all equipment necessary for all departments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain all resin systems, vacuum loaders, clean filters and make repairs as required.
Maintain all support equipment, tape feeder, spiral units, extruders, vacuum tanks, pullers, reelers, air systems and water system.
Assist all departments with breakdowns.
Assist and/or perform all tooling changes for the extrusion department as required by order change.
Perform daily maintenance sheets on all lift trucks as per work sheet.
Use volt meter, check and replace fuses, motor starter, replays, pumps, motors, both AC-DC and trouble shoot faulty electric circuits.
Assist the general maintenance crew with equipment rebuild, plant shutdowns and new equipment installations.
Maintain a neat and orderly work area.
Follow all safety requirements of this position.
Perform all other duties as directed by management.
This is a night time position, 7p-7a 40 hours + per week. We are located in Elyria, OH near I 480, I 90 freeways and the Ohio Turnpike.
Full Time Electrician/ Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain all equipment in the facility. The candidate should be able to bend and install conduit, run wiring, hook up pumps, motors, install electrical panels, drives and controls also have troubleshooting abilities.Requirements
- EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Ability to use most hand and power tools required for this position: wrenches, torches, volt meters, drill press, band saw.
- Light electrical ability, familiarity with plumbing.
- Knowledgeable of state and local safety codes.
- OCCUPATIONAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to successfully complete certification training through lift truck training program.
- Ability to lift 60 – 70 lbs without assistance.
- Ability to lift 100 pounds or more with our without reasonable assistance.
- Ability to climb ladders, silos, railcars, roofs at varying heights.

While the posting indicates 2 years of verifiable experience, we would consider their graduating from the Buckeye Career Center program as the equivalent of 2 years of experience. There is definitely opportunity to grow with the company as we continue to expand our fleet.
We have a fleet of approximately 50 vehicles (F350s, 4500s, Volvo and Mac water trucks, 2 Gap Vacs, a couple mini vans, box trucks and stake beds). Most of our fleet are diesel powered engines. While this position is located in our Corporate Office, it may require some travel to our regional offices to service the vehicles assigned to those offices.
