  • Students that received NTHS applications, the deadline is Friday, May 5th.  You must have both letters of recommendation, your essay, and application turned in to to be eligible for admission to NTHS. Any questions see Mrs. Brown or Mrs. Graebing.
  • Strasburg Students - Prom tickets will be on sale Thursday and Friday at the high school from 7:00-2:30.
  • All students belonging to SkillsUSA will participate in an election to vote in your 2017-2018 officers. Your delegates will be around Monday morning to campaign. Mrs. Strimbu will be collecting your ballots at that time.  If there is anyone else wanting to run for a SkillsUSA office please see Mr. or Mrs. Strimbu before the end of 4th period today.

  • Any junior SkillsUSA member who wishes to run for office for the 2017-18 school year should see Mr. Strimbu in ROom 150 sometime today. To be eligible you must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and be recommended by a BCC teacher. Please see Mr. Strimbu even if you have previously signed up to run for office.

Monday, April 24
  • All Claymont Seniors report to the cafeteria after announcements.
  • We have some exciting news from last week's Ohio HOSA State Leadership Conference held at the University of Toledo. After competing against the very best in the state of Ohio, our very own Mason McKeown, a junior in Exercise Science student from Indian Valley, finished first place in the "Medical Interviewing Skills" event. Mason competed in a two-part interview process, and in the end represented himself and Buckeye Career Center the best way he could, by finishing on top of the podium. Winning his event at the state competition has qualified Mason to represent BCC at the HOSA International Leadership Conference to be held in June at the Disney Resorts in Orlando, Fl. Congratulations to Mason for his hard work and for making us all "Buckeye Proud"!

  • Friday April 7th is FFA "drive your tractor or truck to school day" 
  • This is a reminder for all State SkillsUSA participants. If you have not yet picked up your permission packets, do so in the Graphic Arts lab. All signed permission slips must be turned in to Mrs. Strimbu by this Friday or you will not be able to go to state.
  • Mr. and Mrs. Strimbu would like to thank the students, staff, and Administration who all worked so hard to make this year's prom such a success. A special thanks go out to  Mrs. Burdette and the floriculture lab for working so hard, on short notice, to make all of the centerpieces, chair covers, and window dressings.
  • Also, any member of the prom committee who can get permission please come to the cafeteria after announcements to help with teardown.

  • Our BCC Cosmetology students will be doing all of the hair and makeup for the Solid Rock Photography Fashion show tonight at 7:00 PM at the Kent State Performing Arts Center.  Admission is FREE!!.  Doors open at 6:00 PM.  For more information you can obtain a flyer from the cosmetology lab here at BCC,
  • Claymont - Prom tickets will go on sale April 17th.  Tickets are $15.00 presale or $18.00 at the door.  In order to guarantee that your names are announced at walk-ins, you will need to buy your tickets early.  
  • Reminder:  Only Juniors and Senior are allow to attend  prom.  That includes students from other schools.  If you are taking a student from another school, make sure to stop in the office and fill out permission slip.  Walk-in:  7:00 - 8:00 .  The prom is from 8:00 - 11:00.  If you leave the prom early, you will have to call your parents and get permission.  Photos by Sarah will be at the PAC early if you want to get your pictures done before dinner.  Once I have a definite time, I will put it on the announcements.
  • There are still 10 cap and gowns that need to be picked in the BCC Guidance office.
