Early Childhood Education

Program Quick Facts

Early Childhood Education students must be able to:

  • Physically lift a child, walk ½ mile maintaining the pace of a 3-5 year old child, and see, hear, and respond to children
  • Follow a 3-step direction
  • Work cooperatively with peers and engage in positive interactions with others
  • Express ideas clearly when speaking so that children can understand
  • React and respond to children and situations in a safe and reasonable time frame
  • Recognize problems or potential problems and formulate solutions to problems
  • Read and understand materials and texts used in class
